Pbx loss in cranial neural crest, unlike in epithelium, results in cleft palate only and a broader midface

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, 2018
Orofacial clefting represents the most common craniofacial birth defect. Cleft lip with or without cleft palate (CL/P) is genetically distinct from cleft palate only (CPO).

Hydroxyl‐Terminated Polybutadiene‐Based Molding Powders as an Alternative Route for Manufacturing Pressed Polymer‐Bonded Explosives

open access: yesPropellants, Explosives, Pyrotechnics, Volume 51, Issue 6, Page 955-965, June 2026.
This study presents an alternative method to manufacture polymer‐bonded explosives by partially curing an HTPB‐based molding powder prior to compaction. The study shows that the length of partial cure time before compaction directly influenced the geometric fidelity, homogeneity, compressive strength, density, and internal microstructure.

Experimental Investigation on the Explosive Substitute by Drop Test

open access: yesProceedings, 2018
The drop tests of the experimental structure with explosive substitute material were carried out to study the dynamic deformation and failure of the explosive substitute. The PBX simulation material was designed as a cylindrical flat head structure, with

A PROMOTER::LUCIFERASE reporter system reveals key elements of the circadian regulation of Crassulacean acid metabolism (CAM) in Kalanchoë laxiflora Baker

open access: yesThe Plant Journal, Volume 126, Issue 5, June 2026.
Significance Statement Circadian rhythms of firefly luciferase in the Crassulacean acid metabolism (CAM) species Kalanchoë laxiflora were driven by both CAM and non‐CAM gene promoters, revealing valuable new insights into both the leaf developmental and circadian clock control associated with CAM. The CAM KlGPT2 promoter drove rhythms in K.

Cognitive Targeted Prostate Biopsy Alone for Diagnosing Clinically Significant Prostate Cancer in Selected Biopsy-Naïve Patients: Results from a Retrospective Pilot Study

open access: yesDiagnostics
(1) Background: To identify a particular setting of biopsy-naïve patients in which it would be reasonable to offer only cognitive targeted prostate biopsy (PBx) with a transrectal approach.

Detonation diffraction in a circular arc geometry of the insensitive high explosive PBX 9502

open access: yesCombustion and Flame, 2018
We describe the details of an unconfined insensitive high explosive (PBX 9502) circular arc section experiment, in which, after a transient period, a detonation sweeps around the arc with constant angular speed.

Targeting the nuclear export receptor exportin‐1 in acute myeloid leukaemia: From biology to clinical translation

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 5, May 2026.
• XPO1 hyperactivation promotes leukaemogenesis by altering nucleocytoplasmic transport and transcriptional control in acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). • Selinexor and eltanexor show preferential activity in NPM1‐mutated, DEK::NUP214‐positive and SF3B1‐mutated myeloid neoplasms.

Global Kilometer‐Scale Climate Storylines Using Spectral Nudging

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems, Volume 18, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Effective climate adaptation benefits from detailed, actionable information on how specific extreme events are influenced by climate change. Here we present the first global, kilometer‐scale coupled modeling framework that enables counterfactual reconstructions of recent weather events, including extremes, in different climates.

Association Between Prostate Cancer Detection Rate and Year of Prostate Biopsy

open access: yesLife
As the prostate cancer (PCa) detection rate in South Korea is increasing year by year, authors investigated whether there was a plausible relationship between the year the prostate biopsy (PBx) was performed and the PCa detection rate.

Targeting HOX-PBX interactions causes death in oral potentially malignant and squamous carcinoma cells but not normal oral keratinocytes

open access: yesBMC Cancer, 2018
High HOX gene expression has been described in many cancers, including oral squamous cell carcinoma and the functional roles of these genes are gradually being understood.
