Morphotype and multivariate analysis of the occlusal pattern of the first lower molar in European and Asian arvicoline species (Rodentia, Microtus, Alexandromys)

In this paper we propose a new iterative algorithm to solve the fair PCA (FPCA) problem. We start with the max-min fair PCA formulation originally proposed in [1] and derive a simple and efficient iterative algorithm which is based on the minorization-maximization (MM) approach.

Principal Component Analysis: A Generalized Gini Approach [PDF]

A principal component analysis based on the generalized Gini correlation index is proposed (Gini PCA). The Gini PCA generalizes the standard PCA based on the variance. It is shown, in the Gaussian case, that the standard PCA is equivalent to the Gini PCA.
