In order to improve speaker verification accuracy, we proposed a new hierarchical speaker verification algorithm in this paper. In our algorithm, Mixed-PCA plus fuzzy c-means (FCM) clustering was combined with kernel fisher discriminant (KFD). In stage of feature extraction, we exploited PCA to reduce the feature vector dimensions, and then FCM was ...

Content-Based Mammogram Retrieval Using Mixed Kernel PCA and Curvelet Transform
2016Content-based image retrieval (CBIR) has recently emerged as a promising method to assist radiologists in diagnosing mammographic masses by displaying pathologically similar cases. In this paper, a CBIR system using curvelet transform and kernel principal component analysis (KPCA) is proposed.

Abstract The retention of single (NaCl) and mixed (Na2SO4 + NaCl) salt solutions by nanofiltration membranes was analysed using principal component analysis (PCA). Seven variables—five different membranes (Desal-5DK, NF 270, NF Filmtec, NF 20 and ESNA-1-LF), flux and salt concentration—were taken into account in the analysis.

Abstract One of the most important observations that can be obtained from the study of an aquifer system dominated by mixing is the contribution of each end-member water to the chemical composition of every water parcel in the aquifer. Once the first-order effect of mixing has been taken into account via the mixing proportions, water–rock interaction

Abstract Mixed phase anatase and rutile TiO2 nanoparticles (30–67% R/A) have been synthesized by single step laser pyrolysis. Parallel studies by XRD and Raman spectroscopy suggested possible deforming microstress inside certain samples, due to boundary interactions between neighbouring nanocrystallites in nanoparticles, phase instabilities and/or O ...

Identifying Stratifications of Cancer Patient Visits: Approach of Clustering Using PCA of Mixed Data
Proceedings of The International Conference on Data Science and Official StatisticsCancer is a significant contributor to the burden of non-communicable diseases and one of the diseases with the highest costs in Indonesia’s health insurance system. Understanding key factors influencing cancer patient visits and risk groups under national health insurance supports evidence-based and sustainable cancer care financing.

[Galaxy spectrum subtraction of a mixed spectrum based on two class PCA eigen-spectra].
Guang pu xue yu guang pu fen xi = Guang pu, 2015The authors present a new method called two class PCA for decomposing the mixed spectra, namely, for subtracting the host galaxy contamination from each SN spectrum. The authors improved the quality of reconstructed galaxy spectrum and computational efficiency, and these improvements were realized because we used both the PCA eigen spectra of galaxy ...
