Enhancing photosynthetic production of ethylene in genetically engineered Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yes, 2015
Ethylene is widely used in the petrochemical industry and has traditionally been produced via the steam cracking of petroleum-based feedstock. The exploration of sustainable and carbon-neutral methods of producing ethylene from the renewable feedstock ...

Flux Balance Analysis of Cyanobacterial Metabolism: The Metabolic Network of Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesPLoS Comput. Biol., 2013
Cyanobacteria are versatile unicellular phototrophic microorganisms that are highly abundant in many environments. Owing to their capability to utilize solar energy and atmospheric carbon dioxide for growth, cyanobacteria are increasingly recognized as a

Targeted Inhibition of CD74+ Macrophages by Luteolin via CEBPB/P65 Signaling Ameliorates Osteoarthritis Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies CD74⁺ macrophages as key drivers of synovial inflammation in osteoarthritis (OA). The flavonoid luteolin is predicted to inhibit this pathway by blocking Nuclear Factor Kappa‐light‐chain‐enhancer of Activated B cells (NF‐κB) signaling. To enhance delivery, a targeted nanoplatform (MDSPL) is developed.

Secondary Bile Acids Modified by Odoribacter Splanchnicus Alleviate Colitis by Suppressing Neutrophil Extracellular Trap Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In ulcerative colitis, the loss of Odoribacter splanchnicus disrupts a microbiota‐metabolite‐neutrophil axis. Restoring this bacterium boosts lithocholic acid, which suppress neutrophil extracellular trap formation and eases colonic inflammation.

5‐Hydroxymethylcytosine Dynamics Reveals Coordinated Reprogramming of Parental Genomes and X Chromosome Dosage Balance in Mouse SCNT Embryos

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Genome‐wide, high‐resolution profiling of hydroxymethylation in mouse SCNT embryos reveals a transient, allele‐symmetric 5hmC reprogramming pattern distinct from natural embryos, with X‐chromosomes and imprinting control regions resistant to proper remodeling.

DCAF12 Ubiquitin Ligase Promotes Lung Cancer Metastasis by Modulating the TRiC/CCT Chaperonin Complex

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study elucidates how DCAF12 facilitates non‐degradative ubiquitination to stabilize TRiC/CCT, thereby enhancing the folding capacity of chaperonins. This mechanism promotes the maturation of cytoskeletal proteins and activates key oncogenic drivers, including YAP, STAT3, and mTOR, ultimately driving metastatic progression in lung cancer.
