Balancing Efficiency and Emissions: A Study on Biodiesel‐Hydrogen Dual‐Fuel Engine Performance Under Varying Injection Timings

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 7, Issue 5, May 2025.
This study explores the impact of varying injection timings on a biodiesel‐hydrogen dual‐fuel CI engine. Results reveal that IT30 optimizes brake thermal efficiency (32.7%) and reduces CO and HC emissions while slightly increasing NOx. Findings suggest IT30 as the optimal configuration for balancing efficiency and emissions. ABSTRACT The growing demand

Study of the Performance and Smoke Density When Gasoline–Diesel Blends Are Used as Fuel of a Diesel Engine

open access: yesJournal of Engineering, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
The world is currently facing a serious environmental crisis, partly driven by the pollutant emissions from diesel engines. Although these engines are known for their efficiency, their emission levels are highly dependent on fuel quality. In Colombia, despite having one of the highest‐quality fuels in the region, its properties still fall short of ...

The mechanism and effect factors of the combustion cycle‐to‐cycle variations in the spark ignition engine

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 12, Issue 10, Page 4773-4787, October 2024.
The authors comprehensively reviewed the fundamental reasons and mechanism of cycle‐to‐cycle variations (CCVs) of a spark ignition (SI) engine. In addition, the characteristic parameters and characterization methods of the CCV, the laws and influencing factors of the CCV, and the numerical simulation methods of the CCV were introduced in detail to ...

Board Sustainability Committees, Climate Change Initiatives, Carbon Performance, and Market Value

open access: yesBritish Journal of Management, Volume 35, Issue 1, Page 295-320, January 2024.
Abstract We examine the interrelationships among board sustainability committees, process‐based climate change initiatives, outcome‐based carbon performance, and market value through the lens of economic‐ and social‐based theoretical perspectives. Using a panel dataset of 8408 observations from 35 countries between 2002 and 2019, we find that higher ...
