Study on Natural Gas Decarbonization Process Based on CO2 Desublimation Characteristics

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Natural gas decarbonization is a crucial processing step. In this study, the snow separation technology for removal of carbon dioxide in natural gas based on CO2 desublimation characteristics was introduced. The phase equilibrium calculation of CH4‐CO2 and N2‐CO2 system was carried out by using cubic equations of states (EOSs), and identified ...

The Clinical Outcomes of Primary Angioplasty in Hospitalized Patients with ST-Segment Elevation Acute Myocardial Infarction Were Investigated at Imam Reza Hospital from 1399 to 1401 [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Cardio-Thoracic Medicine
Introduction: Ischemic heart disease (IHD) is a major global health concern with significant implications for patient mortality and life expectancy. Effective management of IHD heavily relies on vascular reconstruction procedures, including percutaneous ...

Gas gun shock experiments with single-pulse x-ray phase contrast imaging and diffraction at the Advanced Photon Source

open access: yes, 2012
The highly transient nature of shock loading and pronounced microstructure effects on dynamic materials response call for {\it in situ}, temporally and spatially resolved, x-ray-based diagnostics.

Patterns of spinal motion, kinematic spaces and the land‐to‐sea transition in carnivorans

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Using 3D reconstructions, we quantify intervertebral joint mobility to investigate how cervical, thoracic, and lumbar vertebral regions evolved distinct kinematic roles in pinnipeds. The findings reveal lineage‐specific adaptations for swimming and highlight the functional significance of vertebral joint flexibility in ecological transitions.

Application of Machine Learning Algorithms in Predicting Major Adverse Cardiovascular Events after Percutaneous Coronary Intervention in Patients with New-Onset ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction

open access: yesReviews in Cardiovascular Medicine
Background: This study aimed to develop and validate a predictive model for major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) following percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with new-onset ST-segment elevation myocardial ...

The effect of age on outcomes of coronary artery bypass surgery compared with balloon angioplasty or bare-metal stent implantation among patients with multivessel coronary disease. A collaborative analysis of individual patient data from 10 randomized trials.

open access: yes, 2012
OBJECTIVES: This study sought to assess whether patient age modifies the comparative effectiveness of coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).

Intravascular Lithotripsy Is Associated With Superior Clinical Outcomes Compared to Atherectomy: A Large‐Scale, Propensity‐Matched Analysis

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Coronary artery disease (CAD) with severe calcification remains a growing challenge in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Atherectomy (ATH) has long been used for plaque modification, whereas intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) has emerged as a promising alternative. Large‐scale comparative data on long‐term outcomes are limited.

Extremity Function After Transfemoral Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation: A TAVI XS Sub‐Study

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Physical decline after transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) is associated with worse outcomes. However, data on post‐TAVI extremity function are limited. This sub‐study of the TAVI XS trial aimed to assess extremity function after transfemoral TAVI, evaluate functional decline, compare outcomes between upper‐and lower ...
