Differential PCM Systems

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1979
Matched differential PCM systems are analyzed for stationary first order Gauss Markov process inputs. The computational procedure yields convergent solutions for the variance and the probability density function of the point-wise error for all sampling intervals.

SIM-PCM: A PCM Simulator Based on Simics

2012 Fourth International Conference on Computational and Information Sciences, 2012
Phase change memory (PCM) is an emerging memory technology which fast, byte-addressable and non-volatile. Because of these attractive features, PCM is the most promising technology to replace DRAM as main memory. Also, PCM provides new challenges for researchers to integrate it in the system memory hierarchy.

A PCM/ADM and ADM/PCM code converter

IEEE Transactions on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 1979
In this paper a bidirectional code converter system that converts PCM to ADM and ADM to PCM directly in the digital domain is studied. The particular coding schemes chosen for study are the μ-255 PCM with the rate of 64 kbits/s and the continuously variable slope delta modulation (CVSD) with 32 kbits/s.

Differential companding PCM (DC‐PCM) by removed bit accumulation

Electronics and Communications in Japan (Part I: Communications), 1985
AbstractA new PCM transmission system is proposed. At present, near instantaneous companding is being considered as one of the PCM sound transmission methods for satellite broadcasts. Its quality performance and efficiency, however, are not satisfactory in every respect.

HL-PCM: MLC PCM Main Memory with Accelerated Read

IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems, 2017
Multi-Level Cell Phase Change Memory (MLC PCM) is a promising candidate technology for DRAM replacement in main memory of modern computers. Despite of its high density and low power advantages, this technology seriously suffers from slow read and write operations.

PCM in cloud

2014 IEEE International Conference on Granular Computing (GrC), 2014
Data security is core concerns of hardware and software implementations. It is impacted not only by network architecture but also by access control mechanisms. In literature, there are several access control models such as the Mandatory Access Control (MAC), the Discretionary Access Control (DAC), the Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and the latest one

Hybrid D-PCM, A Combination of PCM and DPCM

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1978
After a short review of the basic principles of PCM and DPCM coding it is shown that combining the two methods in one coding system results in a combination of some favorable properties. The hybrid D-PCM system combines the bit-rate reduction of DPCM with a low error sensitivity.

PCM distortion analysis

Electrical Engineering, 1947
PCM, pulse count modulation, is a recent development in the field of pulse time multiplexing. Computations and experimental work indicate that accepted standards of telephone transmission over wire and radio commercial systems can be obtained with a relatively small number of quantization levels.
