PCR amplification of microdissected DNA
1991Abstract A common experimental strategy for understanding the molecular basis of developmental and physiological processes begins with the isolation of the genes encoding the cellular components which mediate these events. In many cases our knowledge of these genes is limited to the relative physical map location, on a chromosome, of ...

Betaine improves LA-PCR amplification.
Sheng wu gong cheng xue bao = Chinese journal of biotechnology, 2010PCR is a powerful tool for the amplification of genetic sequences. It has been widely applied in molecular biology. It is generally used to amplify short segments (several hundreds basepairs to several kilobasepairs). It is difficult to amplify a long DNA segment. Based on the sequenced genes, it is known that most intact genes are very long.
