Guiding Healthcare Organizations in Strategic Pathways: Assessing a Dynamic Adaptive Model

open access: yesThe International Journal of Health Planning and Management, Volume 41, Issue 4, Page 559-571, July 2026.
ABSTRACT In an era of increasing uncertainty and complexity, healthcare decision makers must navigate dynamic environments with greater awareness and adaptability. This study assesses what the impact is of the Dynamic Adaptive Decision Support model (DADS) on stewarding capacity by fostering adaptability, resilience, and strategic foresight.

Type I and II Interferons Drive Abacavir Hypersensitivity via Treg Suppression and T‐Cell Enhancement in Immunocompetent HLA‐Transgenic Mice

open access: yesAllergy, Volume 81, Issue 7, Page 2343-2356, July 2026.
Upregulated HLA‐B*57:01 expression in Tg/KO mice amplifies abacavir‐specific CD8+ T‐cell activation, driven by enhanced antigen presentation. Abacavir treatment induces robust pDC expansion and IFN‐α production, which selectively suppresses memory Treg populations.

Between Compliance and Agency: A Comparative Study of University Institutional Research (IR) Units Under Government Accountability Pressures in Korea and Japan

open access: yesHigher Education Quarterly, Volume 80, Issue 3, July 2026.
ABSTRACT This study explores how institutional research (IR) units in South Korea and Japan are shaped by the complex interaction between government accountability pressures and organisational agency. Based on a comparative qualitative study, we propose a framework comprising four types of organisational responses to accountability pressures ...

PDCA Cycle Application in the Beer Filtration Process

open access: yesInternational Journal for Innovation Education and Research, 2019
The brewing process requires that the manufacturing of your product be done and controlled in such a way that the entire characteristic of the product is preserved from receipt of raw material to finished product. Thus, this work aims to propose actions that allow identifying possible critical steps of oxygen increases during the beer filtration ...

Understanding Opportunity Costs of Women Participating in Maternal and Child Nutrition Interventions in Southern Angola: Evidence From the MuCCUA Trial

open access: yesMaternal &Child Nutrition, Volume 22, Issue 3, July 2026.
Economic evaluations of multisectoral nutrition interventions often overlook participants' costs. Using MuCCUA trial data, we estimated women's opportunity costs of three maternal and child nutrition interventions in Angola. Remote participants faced burdens equivalent to 1–1.5 workdays monthly.

Naturally Occurring CodY Variants Alter Ligand Binding, DNA Target Affinity, and Virulence in Clostridioides difficile

open access: yesMolecular Microbiology, Volume 126, Issue 1, Page 98-110, July 2026.
Single amino acid substitutions in the global regulator CodY can alter nutrient sensing and virulence regulation in Clostridioides difficile. We show that the CodY(Y146N) and CodY(V58A) variants display altered ligand binding and reduced promoter binding, leading to derepression of toxin regulatory pathways and increased virulence in vivo.
