Peak load reduction by using air-conditioning regulators
MELECON 2008 - The 14th IEEE Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference, 2008This paper presents a development of a room air-conditioning regulator that allows to reduce the peak consumption by maintaining thermal comforts. This regulator is based on the variable temperature set-point of air conditioning adapted to the permissible power.

On Bounded Peaking in the Cheap Control Regulator
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1995Abstract The cheap control regulator for time-invariant nonlinear systems is studied with respect 1.0 uniform L 2 -boundedness of the state trajectories in the case where the small parameter “e” tends 1.0 zero. By using the geometric approach, state-space conditions for L 2 -boundedness are found and related to the concept of zero ...

Bandwidth Improvements for Peak-Current Controlled Voltage Regulators
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2007To ensure the current sharing among the interleaved phases, the peak-current control is widely used in the voltage regulator (VR) applications. Meanwhile, to save the cost and footprint by reducing the output capacitance, high control bandwidths are mandatory.

The Cambridge Handbook of Twin Peaks Financial Regulation
2021First proposed in 1994, the Twin Peaks model of financial system regulation employs two specialist peak regulators: one charged with the maintenance of financial system stability, and the other with market conduct and consumer protection. This volume, with contributions from over thirty scholars and senior regulators, provides an in-depth analysis of ...

A Modular, Peak Power Tracking Solar Array Regulator
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1999<div class="htmlview paragraph">Two high voltage, Series Connected Boost Regulators (SCBR) were developed to demonstrate the benefits of the SCBR topology for low Earth orbit communication satellites. The resulting breadboards had a power density of 1,200 W/kg and a measured efficiency of 95-99%. Several peak power tracking methods and algorithms

Inductor Current Sensing Peak-Power-Tracking Solar Array Regulator
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1999<div class="htmlview paragraph">The peak-power-tracking solar array regulator sensing the inductor current is proposed. Since it uses the inductor current as the solar array output power information, the PPT control scheme can be greatly simplified.

Cooperative Peak Shaving and Voltage Regulation in Unbalanced Distribution Feeders
IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 2021This paper considers the co-operation of distributed generators (DGs), battery energy storage systems (BESSs) and voltage regulating devices for integrated peak shaving and voltage regulation in distribution grids through a co-optimization framework, which aims to minimize the operational costs while fulfilling the operational constraints of network ...

A Unit Commitment Model Considering Peak Regulation of Units for Wind Power Integrated Power System
2020 IEEE/IAS Industrial and Commercial Power System Asia (I&CPS Asia), 2020The high penetration level of wind power aggravates the peak regulation difficulty of power systems, and the traditional peak regulation approach may not be able to account for the rapid fluctuation of net load. In this paper, a new unit commitment model
