Synthesis of linear antenna array using genetic algorithm to reduce peak sidelobe level

2015 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ELECO), 2015
In antenna design, it is important to optimize the amplitude weights of a linear antenna array to achieve low peak sidelobe level (PSLL). This paper deals with a linear inequality constraint on array factor to get maximum response in look direction and reduced sidelobe levels in a specified stop band region.

Graph Traversal Applied to Search for Optimal Minimum Peak Sidelobe Level Binary Sequences

2019 IEEE International Conference on Signal, Information and Data Processing (ICSIDP), 2019
Binary sequences with low aperiodic autocorrelation levels are widely used in improving the ability of anti-intercept and detection of small targets of radar systems. Searching for optimal binary sequences is an intractable problem due to its extremely high complexity.

The Peak to Sidelobe Level of the Most Significant Bit of Trace Codes over Galois Rings

2008
Weighted degree trace codes over even characteristic Galois rings give binary sequences by projection on their most significant bit (MSB). Upper bounds on the aperiodic correlation, peak to sidelobe level (PSL), partial period imbalance and partial period pattern imbalance of these sequences are derived.

The design for peak sidelobe level of plat end-fire antenna array powered by uncorrelated signal

2010 International Symposium on Signals, Systems and Electronics, 2010
In order to get high directivity for plat end-fire antenna, the space of the array should be increased and best result can be got on 1.5 wavelengths, but gating lobe is produced, so sparse array is adopted. Extending the sparse constraints of regular grid from 0.5 wavelengths to 1.5 wavelengths, by simulation and analyse this kind of array is found to ...

Thinning algorithm for reducing peak sidelobe levels of discrete rectangular planar arrays

1988 IEEE AP-S. International Symposium, Antennas and Propagation, 2003
The proposed thinning algorithm provides a low-cost approach to control peak sidelobe levels of a uniformly fed antenna array in the transmit mode. The algorithm quantizes a desired taper to be used on a uniformly spaced planar array and evaluates the feasibility of thinning the array by terminating elements.

Effect of antenna peak sidelobe levels on L-band space-based GMTI radar performance

2005 IEEE Aerospace Conference, 2005
In this paper, we present simulation results that show the effect of the two-way peak sidelobe levels on the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) loss curve, as a function of clutter-to-noise ratio, for a monostatic space-based ground moving target indicator (GMTI) radar operating at L-band in a low earth orbit. We perform space-time adaptive
