Closed-form approximations of the peak-to-average power ratio distribution for multi-carrier modulation and their applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
International audienceThe theoretical analysis of the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) distribution for an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system, depends on the particular waveform considered in the modulation system.

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Power savings analysis of clipping and filtering method in OFDM systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The clipping and filtering method is analyzed in terms of power savings. The analysis takes account of the gain in the amplifier efficiency due to peak-to-average-power-ratio (PAPR) reduction.

PEAK-TO-AVERAGE POWER RATIO REDUCTION OF OFDM SIGANLS

open access: yesInternational Journal of Research in Engineering and Technology, 2012
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is a form of multicarrier modulation technique with high spectral efficiency and immunity to interference. Despite of many advantages the main disadvantage of OFDM is that the time domain of OFDM signal which is a sum of subcarrier sinusoids leads to high Peak-to-Average power ratio (PAPR).

In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Peak-to-Average Power Ratio Reduction of FBMC/OQAM Signal Using a Joint Optimization Scheme

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
Owing to the signal structure difference between the filter bank multicarrier with offset quadrature amplitude modulation (FBMC/OQAM) and the orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems, the existing technologies to reduce the peak-to ...

Square Complex Orthogonal Designs with Low PAPR and Signaling Complexity

open access: yes, 2008
Space-Time Block Codes from square complex orthogonal designs (SCOD) have been extensively studied and most of the existing SCODs contain large number of zero.

Improving PARP inhibitor efficacy in bladder cancer without genetic BRCAness by combination with PLX51107

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.
