Incorporation of a tungsten pedestal structure into the nanotriode device

IEEE/CPMT/SEMI. 28th International Electronics Manufacturing Technology Symposium (Cat. No.03CH37479), 2004
In this paper, the nanotriode fabrication process has been modified to incorporate a pedestal for the nanopillars, which increases the dielectric surface leakage gap, whilst maintaining the extractor-nanopillar gap.

STRUCTURAL STUDY OF AN/FPS-24 PEDESTAL

1965
Abstract : Results are presented from an investigation of the load distribution to the main azimuth bearing of the AN/FPS-24 radar. The bearing is a 10-ft diameter 4-point contact bearing subjected to thrust, radial, and overturning loads. Actual static ball loads were determined in a field test.

Investigation of edge pedestal structure in DIII-D

Physics of Plasmas, 2006
A calculation based on the requirements of particle, momentum and energy conservation, conductive heat transport, and atomic physics resulting from a recycling and fueling neutral influx was employed to investigate the experimental density, temperature, rotation velocities, and radial electric field profiles in the edge of three DIII-D [J. Luxon, Nucl.

Resonant magnetic perturbation effects on pedestal structure and ELMs

Nuclear Fusion, 2012
Abstract The plasma transport processes by which externally applied resonant magnetic field perturbations (RMPs) mitigate or suppress edge-localized modes (ELMs) in low-collisionality tokamak H-mode plasmas are explored. Experimental data from DIII-D indicates the dominant RMP-induced transport occurs at the pedestal top where electron ...

Structural Analysis of a Tracking Photovoltaic System with a Pedestal Solar Tracker

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
The structural integrity and deformation-induced misalignment of solar radiation for a tracking photovoltaic (PV) system under self-weight is investigated using a finite element analysis (FEA) approach. Gravity is applied to calculate the stress distribution and structural deformation.

Topology Optimum Structural Design of the Pedestal in the Electro-Optical Theodolite

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
The pedestal of the theodolite is the main load-bearing part for the installation of the thrust bearings and torque motor stator, which is used to support the weight of the turntable and the pitching shaft system. So that the stiffness of it will have a direct impact on the ability of the theodolites capturing and tracking targets.

Predictive modeling of pedestal structure in KSTAR using EPED model

Physics of Plasmas, 2013
A predictive calculation is given for the structure of edge pedestal in the H-mode plasma of the KSTAR (Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research) device using the EPED model. Particularly, the dependence of pedestal width and height on various plasma parameters is studied in detail. The two codes, ELITE and HELENA, are utilized for the stability
