Energy-based Pedestrian Navigation

2013
Car navigation systems usually offer choices to route calculation, for example fastest, shortest and nowadays also minimum energy consumption. For pedestrians the choice is shortest and it not clear that the shortest path is the best one. Pedestrian has a tendency to energy minimization for example when choosing walking speed.
