The state of the art in pedometrics
Geoderma, 1994Abstract This paper briefly reviews the state of knowledge of the spatial and temporal variation of soil as discussed in the rejoinder session of the Pedometrics Workshop held in Wageningen, 1–3 September 1992. The paper discusses three aspects, namely theory, applications, and tools, in terms of current understanding and the research topics that we ...

Pedometric CAPTCHA for mobile Internet users
2017 2nd IEEE International Conference on Recent Trends in Electronics, Information & Communication Technology (RTEICT), 2017CAPTCHA requires proof of humanness, thus every CAPTCHA design strives to trace human skills in its user. Many human skills have been explored for designing robust CAPTCHA. In this paper we propose a novel CAPTCHA design for mobile devices. Proposed Pedometric CAPTCHA uses human capability of walking.

Pedometric Treatment of Soil Attributes
2018There are some universally described soil attributes that are worthy of more detailed pedometric description. Here, we largely concentrate on field properties which have particular issues associated with them. We are not attempting to be exhaustive. Over the years most countries have performed field descriptions, and laboratory analysis of soil based ...

Pedometric Valuation of the Soil Resource
2018Soil forms the thin skin of the Earth and is the site of many ecological processes, transformations, and fluxes. It forms the substrate for most of the activities that take place at the Earth’s surface, including almost all food production and human occupation, and underpins both natural and managed ecosystems.
