Research on Tribological Behavior of PEEK and Glass Fiber Reinforced PEEK Composite

open access: yesPhysics Procedia, 2013
AbstractThe tribological behaviors of pure polyetheretherketone (PEEK) and PEEK composites reinforced by 30wt% short glass fibers (GF) were comparatively evaluated on a ball-on-disc configuration at room temperature. The effects of applied load and sliding time on the friction coefficient and wear loss of the GF/PEEK were examined.

Rapid Fabrication of Self‐Propelled and Steerable Magnetic Microcatheters for Precision Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A rapid Joule heating fabrication method for the production of self‐propelling, adaptive microcatheters, with tunable stiffness and integrated microfluidic channels is presented. Demonstrated through three microrobotic designs, including a steerable guiding catheter, an untethered wave‐crawling TubeBot, and a distal‐end propelled microcatheter, it was ...
