Effectiveness of Ethylene to Prevent Shriveling Symptoms and Improve Quality of Abiu (Pouteria caimito) Fruit During Storage

open access: yesAGRIVITA Journal of Agricultural Science
Abiu fruit harvested at the fully-ripe stage typically exhibits a shorter shelf life compared to those harvested at the half-ripe stage. Despite the longer shelf life, those at the half-ripe stage are more susceptible to shriveling during storage ...

Peeling skin syndrome [PDF]

open access: yesBMJ Case Reports, 2015
A 30-year-old man born of a non-consanguineous marriage presented with asymptomatic peeling of skin throughout his body, sparing palms and soles, since birth. There was no preceding history of redness or fluid-filled lesions over the affected area. The duration of skin shedding varied between winters and summers, occurring, on average, for 7 days in ...

Multi‐Faceted Binder Enhancement via Slurry‐Applicable Thiol‐Ene Click Chemistry for Low‐Pressure‐Operable All‐Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Cross‐linked binders with enhanced resiliencies under low operating pressures are designed via in situ thiol‐ene click reactions within slurries. Cross‐linking improves the Young's moduli and elasticities of the styrene‐butadiene rubber binders, effectively mitigating interparticle delamination within the composite cathodes induced by volumetric ...
