A novel jigsaw‐inspired method introduces patterned hydrophilic domains into gas diffusion layers (GDLs) to enhance water management in polymer electrolyte fuel cells (PEFCs). Nitrogen-Containing Carbon-Encapsulated Platinum Electrocatalysts Supported by Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes for Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cells. [PDF]
Pt/N‐SWCNT electrocatalyst, synthesized via a solution plasma method, exhibits enhanced stability of cathode catalyst in PEFC. Encapsulated Pt nanoparticles within nitrogen‐containing carbon shells improve durability and show only 39.5% power density loss after 8000 AST cycles of potential wave (1.0 to 1.5 V).
