Increasing X‐ray energy improves data quality in serial crystallography
Advanced serial crystallography utilizing high‐energy X‐rays enhances diffraction efficiency, data quality and structural resolution under room‐temperature conditions.Serial synchrotron crystallography (SSX) enables structure determination from microcrystals under near‐physiological, room‐temperature conditions but is limited in part due to the ...

Spatial price competition and buyer power in the U.S. beef packing industry
Abstract We develop a spatially‐explicit model of the U.S. beef packing industry to study key questions related to competition in an oligopsony setting. Cattle supplies are modeled at the county level, and packing plants' location, capacity, and ownership are taken as given. Packers procure negotiated cattle by competing in prices in each local (county)

Evaluation of wheat genotypes for drought toleranceusing PEG-6000 at different phenological stages
Drought stress significantly affects the growth and yield of wheat crop. However, tremendous variability exists amongst genotypes concerning their reaction to drought stress. Therefore, figuring out the effects of drought stress on yield and growth of crop plants might assist to select the superior genotypes. In the current study, forty wheat genotypes

Dendrimeric Antigens for Passive Mast Cell Activation in the Evaluation of Amoxicillin Allergy
DeAns with defined nanoscale structure reveal that conjugate size and determinant density govern IgE‐mediated effector‐cell activation in AX allergy. All DeAn generations bind to sIgE in inhibition immunoassay, but only larger DeAns trigger FcεRI‐dependent responses in mouse MC, huRBL‐2H3, and LUVA cells.

Calcium‐binding S100 proteins are important mediators of inflammation in humans. Distant members of this family have been recently discovered in teleost fish but their resemblance to human proteins has not been explored yet. This study demonstrates that zebrafish‐specific S100i1 and S100i2 (ictacalcins) possess identical structural organization and ...
