Preparation of nanofibrous poly (L-lactic acid) scaffolds using the thermally induced phase separation technique in dioxane/polyethylene glycol solution

open access: yesDesigned Monomers and Polymers, 2023
Porous nanofibrous poly (L-lactic acid) (PLLA) scaffolds were fabricated in combination with a thermally induced phase separation technique using a dioxane/polyethylene glycol (PEG) system.

Polyethylene glycol and prevalence of colorectal adenomas : Population-based study of 1165 patients undergoing colonoscopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Background and aim — Dietary polyethylene glycol (PEG) is extraordinarily potent in the chemoprevention of experimental colon carcinogenesis. PEG is used to treat constipation in France and in the USA. French laxatives include Forlax® (PEG4000), Movicol®

Stealth nanocarriers based sterosomes using PEG post-insertion process [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Sterosomes (STEs), a new and promising non-phospholipidic liposome platform based on palmitic acid (PA) and cholesterol (Chol) mixtures, need to have polyethylene glycol (PEG) chains grafted to their surface in order to obtain long-circulating ...

Synthesis and In Situ Modification of Hierarchical SAPO-34 by PEG with Different Molecular Weights; Application in MTO Process [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
Modified structures of SAPO-34 were prepared using polyethylene glycol as the mesopores generating agent. The synthesized catalysts were applied in methanol-to-olefins (MTO) process. All modified synthesized catalysts were characterized via XRD, XRF, FESEM, FTIR, N2 adsorption-desorption techniques, and temperature-programmed NH3 desorption and they ...

Hydrolytic and lysozymic degradability of chitosan systems with heparin-mimicking pendant groups [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Chitosan (CT) is an antibacterial polysaccharide that has been investigated for drug carriers, haemostats and wound dressings. For these applications, customised CT devices can often be obtained with specific experimental conditions, which can irreversibly alter native biopolymer properties and functions and lead to unreliable material behaviour.

3D In Vitro Glioma‐Neuron‐Astrocyte Biomimetic Composites Recapitulate Key Molecular Mechanisms Linked to Glioblastoma Multiforme Pathophysiology

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Glioblastoma multiforme is the most devastating and incurable brain tumor. To better study this disease, a 3D model is developed using a hyaluronic acid‐based hydrogel combined with a multicellular approach. This model recapitulates in vivo brain stiffness, cell‐extracellular matrix and cell‐cell interactions and the tumor's hijacking function with the

Optimization of polyol production via liquefaction from Acacia mangium and analysis of the polyols by traditional methods and two dimensional correlation spectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The aim was to optimize the liquefaction conditions of Acacia mangium wood flour with polyethylene glycol (PEG#400) as the solvent in the presence of sulfuric acid as a catalyst under atmospheric pressure. Reaction time (30–180 min), temperature (130–170°

New light curve solution of V568 Peg and first determination of its fundamental parameters [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
We present V, Rc photometric observations of the short-period W UMa star V568 Peg. They allowed us to improve its period. The light curve solution revealed that V568 Peg is an overcontact binary of A subtype with moderate fill-out factor. Its components are K stars which undergo partial eclipses. The mass ratio was estimated by q-search analysis.
