Sinds de opmars van cad/cam-toepassingen in de tandheelkunde is dit lichte maar sterke materiaal ook toepasbaar in de tandheelkunde. Op de IDS-beurs van 2014 in Keulen liet een fabrikant als Cendres+Metaux toepassingen
