Coupling between thermal ageing/degradation and creep behavior of PEKK and C/PEKK composites above the glass transition temperature [PDF]
Abstract The present work aims at investigating the coupling between thermal ageing/degradation and creep behavior of PEKK and C/PEKK composites at 200 °C, above the glass transition temperature (which is close to 160 °C). Ageing tests were carried out at 200 °C, under 5 bar of oxygen conditioned atmosphere. DSC scans and DMA tests were carried out.

Microstructure and Phase Separation of Pekk, Pekk and their Blends [PDF]
ABSTRACTMicrostructures of PEEK|PEKK blends at both structural and lamellar levels were studied using simultaneously time-resolved small-angle and wide-angle x-ray scattering (SAXS and WAXS) with synchrotron radiations. Lamellar dimensions and unit cell parameters were determined, and phase separation within the blends were observed.

Processing and Properties of Bioactive Surface-Porous PEKK
ACS Biomaterials Science and Engineering, 2016Bioactive surface-porous polyetherketoneketone materials (PEKK-BSP) were prepared by first leaching hydroxyapatite (HA) microsphere templates from compression molded PEKK/HA composites (i.e., PEKK-P) followed by sulfonation with 80% sulfuric acid for 3 h (i.e., PEKK-SP) and then soaking in a simulated body fluid (SBF) for 5 days.

Accuracy of patient-specific temporal implants using PEKK
Journal of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery, 2021The main aim of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of immediate CAD/CAM reconstruction of the temporal hollowing following temporalis muscle surgery, using a patient-specific implant (PSI) PEKK model. This case series included ten patients who underwent maxillofacial reconstruction using temporalis muscle flap (TMF).
