Endocrinology of the Postpartum Period in the Pelibuey Ewe
Journal of Animal Science, 1987The postpartum (PP) period in the Pelibuey ewe was studied. Laparotomies were performed on 14 ewes in the first year at d 10, 20 and 30 PP, and at d 10 and 20 PP in the second year on 17 ewes. Progesterone concentrations were determined in serum taken daily, from 4 to 7 d after parturition until estrus.
