Peltier cells as temperature control elements: Experimental characterization and modeling
Applied Thermal Engineering, 2014Abstract The use of Peltier cells to realize compact and precise temperature controlled devices is under continuous extension in recent years. In order to support the design of temperature control systems, a simplified modeling of heat transfer dynamics for thermoelectric devices is presented.

Response improvement of shape memory alloy actuators? with Peltier Elements
2008 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation, 2008Shape memory alloy (SMA) actuators can be deformed by being heated up and cooled down. There are mainly two methods for controlling the deformation of the SMA actuators. The one is to use thermal control devices such as Peltier elements. The other is to electrify the SMA actuators, which utilizes the fact that they are heated up due to Joule heat.

Temperature-thermal conditions and the geometry of Peltier elements—I
Energy Conversion and Management, 1992Abstract Presuming constant Seebeck coefficient, specific heat and electric conductivity, equations were derived which describe the connections of quantities such as temperature, cooling power, electric current, dimensions and shape of a cooling thermoelement.

Development of alumina substrate for peltier element
The study concentrates on the research of the thermal conductivity of alumina substrate for Peltier element as a function of alumina powders, additives and sintering temperatures. Alumina substrate should have high mechanical strength and low production cost as well as good thermal conductivity.openaire +1 more source
Improvement of thermal conductivity of alumina for peltier element
This study concentrated on improvement of thermal conductivity of alumina substrate for Peltier element as functions of alumina powders, dopants, and sintering temperatures. Alumina substrate also should have high mechanical strength and cheap cost. In this study, AKP-30 and AES-11 were used as alumina powder while MgO and ZrO2 were used as dopants ...openaire +1 more source
A temperature‐regulated stage for the light microscope using a Peltier element
Journal of Microscopy, 1974SummaryAn apparatus to control the temperature of a specimen under observation in the light microscope is described. It consists of a Peltier element and its heat sink which are built into a standard rotating microscope stage. An electronic control unit regulates the temperature.
