Peltier module for commercial use

One of the big problems of a Peltier module with ceramic plates for commercial use is reliability. It depends on it's usage. Temperature difference between hot electrode and cold electrode causes substantial strain on the chips of the module. Support parts in the electrode are effective in absorbing this strain and required life can be designed.

Air conditioner using Peltier module

Present paper gives a picture of a conceptual design of an air conditioner using Peltier modules to achieve desired amount of cooling. The appearance of this thermoelectric type of air conditioner resembles a conventional window air conditioner. This brings the simplicity in construction.

Peltier coefficient measurement in a thermoelectric module

A new method for measuring the Peltier coefficient in a thermocouple X/Y based on the energy balance at the junction has been proposed recently. This technique needs only the hot and cold temperatures of a thermoelectric module when an electric current flows through it as the operational variables.
