Sleep Research, Volume 3, Issue 3, Page 286-291, September 2026.Abstract A 41‐year‐old male patient presented with a 13‐year history of recurrent nocturnal penile pain associated with erections during sleep. Over the course of his illness, the patient attended outpatient clinics on 298 occasions and was hospitalized three times. The primary symptom reported was erectile pain occurring during sleep.

Although they more commonly obstruct the small colon, they can also lodge in the pelvic flexure, requiring enterotomy for removal. Stricture at the enterotomy site is an uncommon but surgically significant complication.
