On-line pen input signature verifier PPI (pen-position/pen-pressure/pen-inclination)

ICONIP'99. ANZIIS'99 & ANNES'99 & ACNN'99. 6th International Conference on Neural Information Processing. Proceedings (Cat. No.99EX378), 2003
An algorithm is proposed for pen-input online signature verification, incorporating pen-position, pen-pressure and pen-inclination trajectories. The algorithm considers the writer's signature as a trajectory of pen-position, pen-pressure and pen-inclination which evolves over time, so that it is dynamic and biometric.

Pen de Touch

SIGGRAPH '09: Posters, 2009
We propose a pen-shaped handheld haptic display that allows haptic interactions with virtual environments by generating kinesthetic sensations on the user's fingers; the user's movements are not restricted since the device does not have mechanical linkages.

Pens to lens

ACM SIGGRAPH 2014 Computer Animation Festival, 2014
Pens to Lens is a screenwriting competition and filmmaking festival in East Central Illinois. Local teachers are provided with a screenwriting curriculum, and their K-12 students are invited to submit screenplays. Community filmmakers choose screenplays they want to produce into actual movies, and local designers create original movie posters.

Graf/Pen

Proceedings of the first ACM symposium on Problems in the optimization of data communications systems -, 1969
The Graf/Pen is a digitizing or data gathering device in which the operator simply holds a pen to point or to create graphical input for digital systems. Previous attempts to provide a natural graphical input have suffered from one or more disadvantages.

Newton's Pen

Proceedings of the 4th Eurographics workshop on Sketch-based interfaces and modeling, 2007
We present Newton's Pen, a statics tutor implemented on a ''pentop computer,'' a writing instrument with an integrated digitizer and embedded processor. The tutor, intended for undergraduate education, scaffolds students in the construction of free body diagrams and equilibrium equations.

EV-pen

SIGGRAPH ASIA 2016 Emerging Technologies, 2016
This paper presents an Electrovibration Pen (EV-Pen) which incorporates electrovibration into pen interactions. The EV-Pen not only exploits the advantages of conventional pen-based interactions but also provides a wide range of haptic feedback modes without any form of mechanical actuator.

Piezoresistive pens for dip-pen nanolithography

SPIE Proceedings, 2013
The conventional approach to measurement of the deflection of microfabricated cantilevers centers on the use of an optical lever. The use of optical lever technology increases the size, complexity, and cost of systems using microfabricated cantilevers. Occasionally, piezoresistors have been used to sense deflection.
