A Theory of the Boundaries of Banks With Implications for Financial Integration and Regulation

open access: yesFinancial Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We offer a theory of the “boundary of the firm” that is tailored to banks, recognizing the relevance of deposit financing and interbank lending as a substitute for integration. Compound‐Specific Stable Isotope Analysis Reveals Population‐Specific Differences in Chinook Salmon Trophic Level and Basal Resource Use in the Northeast Pacific

open access: yesFisheries Oceanography, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Chinook salmon exhibit far‐flung and disparate population‐specific marine migrations that have made it difficult to assess their trophic ecology. In this study, we collected returning and resident subadult Fraser River Chinook salmon in 2018 and 2019 from population groups with different known run‐timings (spring, summer, and fall) and marine ...

Evaluating Associations Between Ankylosing Spondylitis, Torque Teno Virus and Polymorphisms in Interleukin 6 and Vitamin D Receptor Genes

open access: yesInternational Journal of Immunogenetics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The etiology of ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is complex and not yet fully understood. Interleukin‐6 (IL‐6), vitamin D and the vitamin D receptor (VDR) play an important role in modulating immune response, and Torque teno virus is considered a marker of immune status. This case–control study aimed to investigate the predisposition to AS. A total
