Splenic penetration by benign gastric ulcer: preoperative recognition with CT.

Radiology, 1987
Penetration of the spleen by a benign gastric ulcer is rare, but when it occurs there is a high probability of hemorrhage. To our knowledge, there have been no reports of the preoperative diagnosis of this entity. We encountered two cases which, in retrospect, could have been predicted from abdominal computed tomographic (CT) findings. Familiarity with

Recognition system of Underground Object Shape using ground penetrating radar datagram

2015 IEEE International Conference on Control System, Computing and Engineering (ICCSCE), 2015
Objects that have been buried underground cannot be recognized due to the opaqueness of the soil. To recognize objects that have been buried, ground penetrating radar (GPR) by the assistance of computer-aided system was used. This paper proposes the latter, which is called the Recognition System of Underground Object Shape using GPR datagram.

Arc sound model for pulsed GTAW and recognition of different penetration states

The International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, 2020
Weld defect detection based on arc sound signal in pulsed gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) has been a hot research topic in industry and academia. However, arc vocal mechanism model of pulsed GTAW remains to be studied further. In this paper, a sensing system is developed to collect arc voltage, welding current, arc sound, and weld pool images ...

Penetrating injuries of the Iliac vessels. Early recognition and management.

American journal of surgery, 1983
Exsanguination due to hemorrhage caused death in 18 percent of patients with penetrating iliac vessel trauma. Improved survival demands earlier recognition and expedient operative control. One hundred fourteen patients were treated at a single institution during an 11 year period.

DNA nanopore functionalized with aptamer and cell-penetrating peptide for tumor cell recognition

Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 2017
In the present work, DNA nanopore was composed of a bundle of six DNA duplexes folded from six DNA strands and functionalized with Ramos cell aptamer and cell-penetrating peptide (CPP). Herein, we present a unique dually conjugated molecule with an aptamer and cell-penetrating peptide for targeting and recognition of Ramos cells.

Recognition, resuscitation and management of patients with penetrating cardiac injuries.

Surgery, gynecology & obstetrics, 1992
To identify evolving strategies for resuscitation and definitive management of penetrating cardiac injuries, a retrospective review of 23 such trauma victims who presented with at least one sign of life was performed. Twenty-two of 23 patients survived.

Cell-Penetrating Drug Carrier by Molecular Recognition of Sphingomyelin on Plasma Membranes

Langmuir
Plasma membranes not only maintain the intracellular microenvironment through their phospholipid bilayer but also eliminate exogenous compounds outside the cell membranes. Most drugs especially with high polarity are prevented from entering into cells to exert their effects.

A penetrable interactive 3D display based on motion recognition (Invited Paper)

Chinese Optics Letters, 2014
Based on light field reconstruction and motion recognition technique, a penetrable interactive floating 3D display system is proposed. The system consists of a high-frame-rate projector, a flat directional diffusing screen, a high-speed data transmission module, and a Kinect somatosensory device.

Arc Sound Recogniting Penetration State Using LPCC Features

2011
Welding is a complex heat working process and it will generate sound, light, electricity, soot and so on, which contain abundant information about welding quality and penetration. As the quick development of industrial production, it is necessary to meet more and more requirements from both welding automation and precise seam forming.

MDCT in the early recognition of isolated non-penetrating pancreatic transection.

Hepato-gastroenterology, 2009
Isolated pancreatic transection is rare. Associated main pancreatic duct injury is the principal determinant factor of outcome. Earlier computed tomographic scanner may be unreliable in determining the location and severity of pancreatic injury. Multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) and curved views of multidetector computed tomography are helpful in ...
