Impact of Various Sleeve Materials on Temperature Variations During Guided Endodontic Access Cavity Preparation Utilizing Finite-Element Analysis. [PDF]

open access: yesClin Exp Dent Res
ABSTRACT Purpose Guided endodontics allows precise access in challenging cases such as calcified canals; however, drilling can generate temperature increases that risk damaging periradicular tissues. This study aimed to evaluate the influence of different sleeve materials—zirconia, cobalt‐chromium (CoCr), and titanium—on temperature changes during ...

Heat transfer intensification with field synergy principle in a fin‐and‐tube heat exchanger through convex strip installation

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 4, Issue 6, June 2022., 2022
Improvement of heat transfer using surface protrusion (convex strip) has been effective recently. Surface protrusion is able to improve flow mixing which increases the rate of heat transfer. Therefore, this study aims to improve the heat transfer in a fin‐and‐tube heat exchanger by fitting convex strips around the tubes.

Assessing mangrove restoration practices using species‐interaction networks

open access: yesRestoration Ecology, Volume 30, Issue 4, May 2022., 2022
Mangroves are uniquely important ecosystems, for preserving biodiversity, sustaining livelihoods, and mitigating against climate change. However, they are degraded globally and are therefore a priority for ecosystem restoration. To date, the assessment of mangrove restoration outcomes is generally poor, and the limited studies that do exist are focused

Development of comprehensive fire and explosion risk assessment on coal reclaim tunnel using Monte Carlo simulation and risk matrix method

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 4, Issue 4, April 2022., 2022
The risk assessment method developed in this research has been beneficial in inspecting the explosion potential of coal reclaim tunnel facilities, considering all the factors causing an explosion that has been analyzed simultaneously and comprehensively. Several factors that cause fires and explosions at the CRT facility have an un‐normal distribution.

Adherence to Dihydroartemisinin + Piperaquine Treatment Regimen in Low and High Endemic Areas in Indonesia

open access: yesJournal of Tropical Medicine, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
After decades of successful artemisinin regimen in combating malaria, its effectiveness has decreased since parasite resistance to the treatment regimen has begun to appear. Adherence to artemisinin combination therapy (ACT) in a population is considered to be the key factor contributing to such resistance phenomenon.

High figure of merit cylinder‐shaped negative refractive index metamaterial based on paper as dielectric material

open access: yesMicro &Nano Letters, Volume 16, Issue 7, Page 387-391, 24 June 2021., 2021
Abstract The design of unit cell metamaterial can tailor the permittivity and permeability. The negative refractive index was achieved while the negative real part of permittivity and negative real part of permeability simultaneously or εrμi+εiμr<0 conditions were satisfied, where εr,εi,μrandμiare real part of permittivity, imaginary part of ...
