Pentachlorophenol contamination of human milk samples.

open access: yes, 1983
Samples of human milk from Upper Bavaria have been analyzed and found to be contaminated with pentachlorophenol. The pentachlorophenol content of these samples was found to be lower than the organochlorine pesticide residues.

Molluscicidal Activity of Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) and Camellia sinensis var. Assamica (Purple Tea) Extracts Against Biomphalaria pfeifferi, the Major Vector Snail of Human Schistosomiasis in Sub‐Saharan Africa

open access: yesJournal of Parasitology Research, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Freshwater pulmonate snails are prevalent across Kenya and act as intermediate hosts for trematode parasites, some of which are snail vectors for human schistosomiasis. Chemical molluscicides have rarely been used routinely in Kenya to control snails due to high costs of manufacture and the subsequent environmental concerns associated with their use ...

The effect of 2,4-dichlorophenol and pentachlorophenol on antioxidant system in the leaves of Phalaris arudinacea

open access: yes, 2010
The purpose of this work was to evaluate the effect of 2,4-dichlorophenol (2,4-DCP) and pentachlorophenol (PCP) on the activity of antioxidative system and lipid peroxidation in the leaves of reed canary grass (Phalaris arudinacea).

Thermodynamic and Kinetic Studies of Photochemically Produced Co3O4 NPs for the Adsorption of Pentachlorophenol Pesticide From Irrigation Water

open access: yesJournal of Nanotechnology, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Pesticide pollution of irrigation water is one of the most significant problems that researchers are concerned about. In this work, cobalt oxide nanoparticles were prepared using an effective photochemical synthesis, which was used to remove pentachlorophenol pesticide from irrigation water.

Electrical conductivity in lipid bilayer membranes induced by pentachlorophenol

open access: yes, 1976
Electrical conductivity induced in thin lipid bilayer membranes by pentachlorophenol has been studied. The membranes were formed from phosphatidyl choline, phosphatidyl ethanolamine, or phosphatidyl glycerol and various amounts of cholesterol.

State‐of‐the‐Art, Insights, and Perspectives for MOFs‐Nanocomposites and MOF‐Derived (Nano)Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 52, December 29, 2025.
Different approaches to MOF‐NP composite formation, such as ship‐in‐a‐bottle, bottle‐around‐the‐ship and in situ one‐step synthesis, are used. Owing to synergistic effects, the advantageous features of the components of the composites are beneficially combined, and their individual drawbacks are mitigated.

Biochar as an electron shuttle for reductive dechlorination of pentachlorophenol by Geobacter sulfurreducens

open access: yes, 2015
The reductive dechlorination of pentachlorophenol (PCP) by Geobacter sulfurreducens in the presence of different biochars was investigated to understand how biochars affect the bioreduction of environmental contaminants.

Fate of pentachlorophenol-14C in rice plants under controlled conditions.

open access: yes, 1982
Pentachlorophenol-14C was applied to soil (23 kg/ha), and rice plants were grown over two vegetation periods under flooded conditions. The uptake of radioactivity by plants was 12.9% in the first and 2.5% in the second year.

The Influence of Pencil Graphite Hardness on Voltammetric Detection of Pentachlorophenol

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2018
A pencil graphites were used for detection of pentachlorophenol (PCP) based on differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and cyclic voltammetry (CV). The voltammetric studies were carried out using a pencil graphite electrode (GPE), carbon paste electrode ...
