Bridging diiodine, high potentials: The bridged Cu(I) diiodine complex [(μ‐I2){Cu[Al(ORF)4]}2] forms by reacting the weakly coordinated dinitrogen complex [(N2)Cu{Al(ORF)4}] with I2. With very short Cu─I contacts and an elongated I─I bond, [(μ‐I2){Cu[Al(ORF)4]}2] is structurally predisposed to form CuI while oxidizing the weakly coordinating [Al(ORF)4]−

Isolated Organosodium and ‐Potassium Intermediates: Understanding Metal Effects on Anionic Styrene‐Isoprene Copolymerization

Reactive organosodium and organopotassium intermediates of the anionic styrene and isoprene polymerization are presented. Crystal structures of alkoxide‐free intermediates are obtained by X‐ray diffraction, and their isolation enables kinetic polymerization studies.

Group 13 Aminopyridinato Complexes and Co─Al Heterobimetallics: Impact of Ligand Substituent and Metal Exchange on Thermal Behavior

Designing the First Hydroxylamine Substituted Tetrazole With N,O‐Dimethylhydroxylamine

Despite decades of tetrazole chemistry, hydroxylamine‐substituted variants have remained unknown. This work reports the first synthesis of a 5‐hydroxylamine substituted tetrazole via cyanogen azide and N,O‐dimethylhydroxylamine, yielding the free‐base compound and its hydrochloride salt.

Stable flies preferentially oviposit on sites offering conspecific eggs with egg‐derived airborne semiochemicals. Egg‐borne bacterial symbionts, and Serratia marcescens in particular, produce odorants which attract gravid female flies and elicit oviposition.
