Iguratimod alleviated Sjögren's syndrome through regulating macrophage polarization

Nonobese diabetic (NOD) mice exhibited characteristic of Sjögren's syndrome (SS), with increased M1 macrophages and deceased M2 macrophages. Iguratimod alleviated SS‐like symptoms and restored balance of macrophage polarization through inhibiting the mitogen‐activated protein kinases pathway in NOD mice.

Pentobarbital in tobacco

The spectrometric analysis of extracts from tobacco and tobacco smoke revealed the presence of pentobarbital in the analyzed substances. Tobacco samples and tobacco smoke were extracted with chloroform, determinations were performed with the Perkin-Elmer Autosystem XL system, on a Turbo Mass spectrometer.

Effects of pentobarbital and cocaine in rats expecting pentobarbital

Rats received extensive exposure to pentobarbital in a distinctive environment, and were subsequently tested for tolerance to the sedative effects of pentobarbital either in the distinctive environment or in an environment previously associated only with saline.
