Effects of Electrodes Layout and Filler Scale on Percolation Threshold and Piezoresistivity Performances of a Cementitious-Based Geocomposite [PDF]

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2022
An extensive experimental study was conducted to investigate the co-effects of surface area and distance between electrodes as well as filler scales on the percolation threshold of piezoresistive cement-stabilised sand.

Electrical Percolation Threshold and Size Effects in Polyvinylpyrrolidone-Oxidized Single-Wall Carbon Nanohorn Nanocomposite: The Impact for Relative Humidity Resistive Sensors Design [PDF]

open access: yesSensors, 2021
This paper reports, for the first time, on the electrical percolation threshold in oxidized carbon nanohorns (CNHox)–polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) films.

Anisotropy of Percolation Threshold of BaTiO3-Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 Composite Films [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2019
A systematic study on the magnetic and electrical percolation phenomena of BaTiO3 (BTO)-NiZnF2O4 (NZFO) composite films is presented in this work with the purpose of simplifying the preparation process of high-performance 1–3-type multiferroic composite ...

Lower Limit of Percolation Threshold on Square Lattice with Complex Neighborhoods [PDF]

open access: yesEntropy
In this paper, the 60-year-old concept of long-range interaction in percolation problems introduced by Dalton, Domb and Sykes is reconsidered. With Monte Carlo simulation—based on the Newman–Ziff algorithm and the finite-size scaling hypothesis—we ...

Fluid leakage near the percolation threshold. [PDF]

open access: yesSci Rep, 2016
AbstractPercolation is a concept widely used in many fields of research and refers to the propagation of substances through porous media (e.g., coffee filtering), or the behaviour of complex networks (e.g., spreading of diseases). Percolation theory asserts that most percolative processes are universal, that is, the emergent powerlaws only depend on ...

Degree of conduction transfer through incomplete interphases controlling the conductivity of carbon nanofiber composites [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports
Assuming an incomplete interphase in carbon nanofiber (CNF)/polymer composites (PCNFs), the conduction transfer amount from the CNF to the polymer media, denoted as Y, is determined by the CNF length and the minimum length required for effective ...

Percolation Threshold of Red-Bed Soft Rock during Damage and Destruction

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
The critical damage point of the red-bed soft rock percolation phenomenon can be described as the percolation threshold. At present, there are insufficient theoretical and experimental studies on the percolation phenomenon and threshold of red-bed soft ...

Percolation Threshold and Depression in Properties of Polymer Nanocomposites

open access: yesMaterials Research, 2022
Percolation threshold is an important phenomenon to be addressed when producing nanocomposites, especially because the literature suggests a depression of properties near this region.

Universal formulas for percolation thresholds [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 1996
A power law is postulated for both site and bond percolation thresholds. The formula writes $p_c=p_0[(d-1)(q-1)]^{-a}d^{\ b}$, where $d$ is the space dimension and $q$ the coordination number. All thresholds up to $d\rightarrow \infty$ are found to belong to only three universality classes.
