Adhesion molecule Amigo2 is involved in the fasciculation process of the fasciculus retroflexus
Abstract Background The fasciculus retroflexus is the prominent efferent pathway from the habenular complex. Medial habenular axons form a core packet whereas lateral habenular axons course in a surrounding shell. Both groups of fibers share the same initial pathway but differ in the final segment of the tract, supposedly regulated by surface molecules.

Serum MicroRNAs Predict Isolated Rapid Eye Movement Sleep Behavior Disorder and Lewy Body Diseases
ABSTRACT Background Isolated rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder (IRBD) is a well‐established clinical risk factor for Lewy body diseases (LBDs), such as Parkinson's disease (PD) and dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB). Objective To elucidate whether serum microRNA (miRNA) deregulation in IRBD can antedate the diagnosis of LBD by performing a ...

Changes in Thalamic Dopamine Innervation in a Progressive Parkinson's Disease Model in Monkeys
Abstract Background Dopamine loss beyond the mesostriatal system might be relevant in pathogenic mechanisms and some clinical manifestations in PD. The primate thalamus is densely and heterogeneously innervated with dopaminergic axons, most of which express the dopamine transporter, as does the nigrostriatal system.

Serum Circulating microRNA Profiling for Identification of Potential Breast Cancer Biomarkers
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of small, non‐coding RNA molecules that can regulate gene expression, thereby affecting crucial processes in cancer development. miRNAs offer great potential as biomarkers for cancer detection because of their remarkable stability in blood and their characteristic expression in different diseases.
