Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.

Constructions of some secret sharing schemes based on linear codes [PDF]

open access: yesИзвестия Саратовского университета. Новая серия: Математика. Механика. Информатика
There are perfect and ideal threshold secret sharing schemes, for example, Shamir’s secret sharing  scheme. For the case of general secret sharing schemes with an arbitrary access structure, it is possible to construct a perfect scheme for any

Secret sharing and duality

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Cryptology, 2020
Secret sharing is an important building block in cryptography. All explicit secret sharing schemes which are known to have optimal complexity are multi-linear, thus are closely related to linear codes.

Local tensor-network codes

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2022
Tensor-network codes enable the construction of large stabilizer codes out of tensors describing smaller stabilizer codes. An application of tensor-network codes was an efficient and exact decoder for holographic codes.

On Nearly Perfect Covering Codes

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Information Theory
Nearly perfect packing codes are those codes that meet the Johnson upper bound on the size of error-correcting codes. This bound is an improvement to the sphere-packing bound. A related bound for covering codes is known as the van Wee bound. Codes that meet this bound will be called nearly perfect covering codes. In this paper, such codes with covering

Perfect nonbinary AN codes with distance three

open access: yes, 1975
It has been proved that the perfect binary and ternary single error correcting AN codes exist. In this paper, perfect radix-r single error correcting codes of type I and II are defined as generalized versions of perfect binary codes, and a general theory ...

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Role of Intrinsic Electron Trapping in Negative Charging of Amorphous Alumina

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intrinsic electron trapping in amorphous Al2O3 is examined using hybrid‐DFT models spanning a wide density range. Both spontaneous and thermally activated trapping are identified, with pronounced spontaneous localization in dense, partly crystallized structures.

Non-Existence of Perfect Permutation Codes Under Crown Poset Metric

open access: yesIEEE Access
Permutation codes have been extensively investigated using various metrics such as Hamming metric, Ulam metric, Kendall $\tau $ metric, $l_{\infty }$ metric, Cayley metric etc., due to their potential applications in diverse fields such as rank ...

3D Printing Innovations in Polymeric Porous and Patterned Architecture

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polymeric foams occupy a unique structural space between dense solids and open networks, where engineered void fraction governs mechanical compliance, thermal resistance, and mass transport. Additive manufacturing now enables precise spatial control over cellular architecture, unlocking designer foam structures across applications spanning crash ...
