Perfect-fluid, generalized Robertson-Walker space-times, and Gray’s decomposition [PDF]
We give new necessary and sufficient conditions on the Weyl tensor for generalized Robertson-Walker (GRW) space-times to be perfect-fluid space-times.

Stationary Spherical Vortices in a Perfect Fluid [PDF]
Necessary conditions are derived for a spherical vortex in a perfect fluid to be stationary in the case when the velocities depend on a single surface harmonic. The motion is indeterminate unless an additional condition is imposed. In the case when this condition is incompressibility, the equations are solved, yielding a class of stationary spherical ...

On a perfect fluid Kahler spacetime
The object of the present paper is to study a perfect fluid K¨ahlerspacetime. A perfect fluid K¨ahler spacetime satisfying the Einstein field equation with a cosmological term has been studied and the existence of killingand conformal killing vectors ...

Static spaces (with perfect fluids) appeared in a natural way both in physics (cf. Hawking and Ellis, 1975) and mathematics (cf. A. Fischer and J. Marsden, Duke Math. J. 42 (3) (1975), 519–547).

Quantum Cosmological Perfect Fluid Models [PDF]
Perfect fluid Friedmann-Robertson-Walker quantum cosmological models for an arbitrary barotropic equation of state $p = αρ$ are constructed using Schutz's variational formalism. In this approach the notion of time can be recovered. By superposition of stationary states, finite-norm wave-packet solutions to the Wheeler-DeWitt equation are found.

Computational fluid dynamics framework for aerodynamic model assessment
This paper reviews the work carried out at the University of Liverpool to assess the use of CFD methods for aircraft flight dynamics applications. Three test cases are discussed in the paper, namely, the Standard Dynamic Model, the Ranger 2000 jet ...

Locomotion of Articulated Bodies in a Perfect Fluid [PDF]
This paper is concerned with modeling the dynamics of N articulated solid bodies submerged in an ideal fluid. The model is used to analyze the locomotion of aquatic animals due to the coupling between their shape changes and the fluid dynamics in their environment. The equations of motion are obtained by making use of a two-stage reduction process

Geometry of static perfect fluid space-time
In this article, we investigate the geometry of static perfect fluid space-time on compact manifolds with boundary. We use the generalized Reilly's formula to establish a geometric inequality for a static perfect fluid space-time involving the area of ...

Fluid dynamics in the warp drive spacetime geometry
The Alcubierre warp drive metric is a spacetime geometry featuring a spacetime distortion, called a warp bubble, where a massive particle inside it acquires global superluminal velocities, or warp speeds.
