Relativistic perfect fluid spacetimes and Ricci–Yamabe solitons

Letters in Mathematical Physics, 2021
The paper under review studies perfect fluid spacetimes admitting Ricci-Yamabe solitons and \(\gamma\)-Ricci-Yamabe solitons with a torse-forming vector field where \(\gamma\) is a 1-form that is the dual of the potential vector field with respect to the metric \(g.\) The authors also obtain a Poisson and a Liouville equation from the soliton equation.

Non-diagonal separable perfect-fluid spacetimes

Classical and Quantum Gravity, 1997
We consider non-diagonal inhomogeneous cosmologies admitting an Abelian orthogonally transitive two-dimensional group of isometries under the assumption of separation of variables. We find all the sets of compatible systems of ordinary equations which give rise to reasonable solutions (satisfying energy conditions) and study them.

Perfect fluid spacetimes admitting curvature collineations

General Relativity and Gravitation, 1991
This paper discusses curvature collineations in perfect fluid spacetimes within Einstein's general relativity. Using as starting point the papers of the reviewer [Gen. Relativ. Gravitation 15, 581-589 (1983; Zbl 0514.53018)] and the reviewer are and the second author [J. Math. Phys. 32, No.

On perfect fluid spacetimes obeying Gray’s decompositions

Reviews in Mathematical Physics
In this work, perfect fluid spacetimes obeying Gray’s decompositions have been studied. In the first part, after a brief summary about Gray’s decompositions used in this study, we work on properties of perfect fluid spacetimes obeying these decompositions. The results are obtained for different subspaces of a perfect fluid spacetime.

PERFECT FLUID PERTURBATIONS OF ROBERTSON-WALKER SPACETIMES

International Journal of Modern Physics D, 1994
I report on recent work on perturbations of Robertson-Walker spacetimes using the Bardeen-Stewart variables to describe metric perturbations. The gauge freedom available in the formalism is larger than that arising purely from spacetime diffeomorphisms. The associated non-uniqueness and non-locality problems have a simple solution, but the extra gauge

Killing vectors in conformally flat perfect fluid spacetimes

Classical and Quantum Gravity, 1990
The existence of Killing vectors in conformally flat perfect fluid spacetimes in general relativity is considered. In particular Killing vectors which are neither orthogonal nor parallel to the fluid velocity vector are considered and stationary fields in which the fluid velocity vector is not parallel to the timelike Killing vector field are shown to ...

Group analysis of a conformal perfect fluid spacetime

Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and Theoretical, 2012
We find new exact solutions of the Einstein field equations for a perfect fluid metric conformal to a spacetime of type D in the Petrov classification scheme. We analyse the complete system of equations using Lie group analysis. While previous work was confined to conformal factors of the form U = U(t, x), we investigate the complete situation U = U(t,
