“[Bolingbroke] weighs [Richard] down” : The Idea of Perfect Monarch in Richard II

open access: yesGaziantep Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Dergisi, 2018
In his history plays Shakespeare presents the idea of perfect monarch who achieves to unite the nation regardless of class distinctions, and demonstrates that if a sovereign violates the laws and disregards common consent, s/he fails to exercise ...

On Consecutive Perfect Powers with Elementary Methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Catalan's conjecture claims that the Diophantine equation $x^p-y^q=1$ admits the unique solution $3^2-2^3=1$ in integers $x,y,p,q \ge 2$. The conjecture has been finally proved by P. Mihăilescu (2002) using the theory of cyclotomic fields and Galois modules.

Smaller is better: nanobodies meet NMR

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nanobodies are single‐domain antigen‐binding fragments derived from camelid heavy chain antibodies. Their small size, high stability, and exceptional specificity make nanobodies uniquely useful probes for NMR studies of protein dynamics, transient conformational states, and protein–protein interactions.

Circulating microRNA signatures of cachexia and cancer in Canis familiaris as a comparative oncology model for human disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating microRNAs as biomarkers of cachexia and sex‐specific cancer in senior dogs. In 25 client‐owned dogs, four circulating miRNAs (miR‐15a, miR‐15b, miR‐16, miR‐140) were downregulated in cachexia, with miR‐16 the strongest individual biomarker (AUC = 0.899).

Energy Efficient Design of Massive MIMO by Considering the Effects of Nonlinear Amplifiers

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
Massive Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) alludes to the theory of having a large number of transmitter chains at the base station, which in turn provides the higher spectral and energy efficiency with reduced radiated power and greater simplicity in

Profiling neoadjuvant therapy response in rectal cancer using meta‐analysis of publicly available transcriptomic RNA‐seq datasets

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates publicly available transcriptomic datasets to identify molecular signatures associated with response to neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy in locally advanced rectal cancer. By analyzing a combination of multiple cohorts with bioinformatics approaches, we reveal biological pathways and immune‐related features that may improve ...

Construction of perfect dispatch learning model based on adaptive GRU

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2022
Perfect dispatch refers to finding the after-the-fact optimal allocation of output power among generating units based on actual loads. This paper proposes a new idea to solve the economic dispatch problem that regards it as a learning problem, not an ...
