Dispersion relations and spectra of periodically perforated structures [PDF]
We establish absolute continuity of the spectrum of a periodic Schr\"odiner operator in R^n with periodic perforations. We also prove analytic dependece of the dispersion relation on the shape of the perforation.

Cerebral autoregulation in patients with acute lacunar infarction: a reliable predictor of outcome
Abstract Objective To further investigate the association between dynamic cerebral autoregulation (dCA) and the outcomes in patients with acute lacunar infarction. Methods Patients were prospectively and consecutively enrolled at The First Hospital of Jilin University between 2016 and 2023. dCA was monitored at 1–3 and 7–10 days after the stroke.

Spontaneous transhepatic rupture of the gallbladder with massive hemoperitoneum.
Perforation of the gallbladder has an incidence of 1.6 to 2.8% in gallbladder disease. Among these cases trans hepatic rupture is a very rare event.

Unleashing the Power of Multiomics: Unraveling the Molecular Landscape of Peripheral Neuropathy
ABSTRACT Peripheral neuropathies (PNs) affect over 20 million individuals in the United States, manifesting as a wide range of sensory, motor, and autonomic nerve symptoms. While various conditions such as diabetes, metabolic disorders, trauma, autoimmune disease, and chemotherapy‐induced neurotoxicity have been linked to PN, approximately one‐third of

Appendicular Diverticulosis with Diverticulitis and Perforation [PDF]
Diverticulum of the appendix is rarely encountered. Mostly, it is a pseudo or a false diverticulum. It may suffer either inflammatory complications with or without associated appendicitis or it may rarely be an incidental finding in an inflamed ...

Objective This work aimed to evaluate the pharmacokinetics, efficacy, and safety of upadacitinib, an oral selective JAK inhibitor, in pediatric patients with polyarticular‐course juvenile idiopathic arthritis (pcJIA). Methods In an open‐label, phase 1 study (SELECT‐YOUTH), enrolled patients, aged 2 to <18 years with pcJIA, received body weight–based ...

The Prolapsed Intussusceptum in a 4-month-old Male: A Case Report
A case of intussusception may be missed on initial presentation, if the physician is not vigilant or if non-specific symptoms are present. It may progress to prolapse per anus, if not attended to. We reported a case of intussusception, i.e. missed on the

Homogenization of Boundary Value Problems in Perforated Lipschitz Domains [PDF]
This paper is concerned with boundary regularity estimates in the homogenization of elliptic equations with rapidly oscillating and high-contrast coefficients. We establish uniform nontangential-maximal-function estimates for the Dirichlet, regularity, and Neumann problems with $L^2$ boundary data in a periodically perforated Lipschitz domain.

Objective The main objective of this study is to examine the safety of oral acetaminophen at its therapeutic dose in adults aged ≥65 years. Methods This population‐based cohort study used the Clinical Practice Research Datalink‐Gold data. Participants were aged ≥65 years registered with a UK general practice for at least 12 months between 1998 and 2018.
