From Droplet to Diagnosis: Spatio‐Temporal Pattern Recognition in Drying Biofluids

This article integrates machine learning (ML) with the spatio‐temporal evolution of biofluid droplets to reveal how drying and self‐assembly encode distinctive compositional fingerprints. By leveraging textural features and interpretable ML, it achieves robust classification of blood abnormalities with over 95% accuracy.

Intraspecific variation in stomatal architecture, gas exchange, and drought response of a dominant prairie grass sourced from broad climatic gradients

Abstract Premise Understanding how plant populations adapt to water limitation through stomatal traits is key to predicting drought responses. The dominant C4 grass Andropogon gerardi, distributed across sharp climate gradients in North America, offers an excellent focal species to study stomatal architecture (size and density).

High‐Pressure Synthesis of Antimony Nitride Sb3N5 and Polynitride Sb2N8 Featuring Single‐Bonded N810− Chains

High‐pressure reactions between Sb and molecular nitrogen in a laser‐heated diamond anvil cell led to the formation of oC32‐Sb3N5 (51(1) GPa) and mP20‐Sb2(N8), (> 100 GPa). Both phases were identified by single‐crystal x‐ray microdiffraction and are fully corroborated by density functional theory calculations.
