Antisecretory Action of the Extract of the Aerial Parts of Eremomastax speciosa (Acanthaceae) Occurs through Antihistaminic and Anticholinergic Pathways

open access: yesAdvances in Pharmacological Sciences, 2014
Objective. The objective of this study was to find out the possible antiulcer mechanism of action of Eremomastax speciosa. Method. Carbachol- and histamine-induced hypersecretion, associated with the pylorus ligation technique, were used in rats. Gastric

Spatiotemporal Drug Delivery via a Neonatal Spinal Cord ECM Hydrogel for Biomimetic Microenvironment Remodeling After Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A biomimetic hydrogel derived from neonatal spinal cord ECM (DNSCM) delivers LAMB2 protein and ISP peptide to remodel the inhibitory injury microenvironment. The system sustains drug release, upregulates pro‐regenerative LAMB2, downregulates inhibitory CSPG, and promotes axonal regeneration.

A coupled dual reciprocity BEM/Genetic algorithm for identification of blood perfusion parameters

open access: yes, 2009
The paper presents an inverse analysis procedure based on a coupled numerical formulation through which the coefficients describing non-linear thermal properties of blood perfusion may be identified.

Hepatic haemodynamics: interrelationships between contrast enhancement and perfusion on CT and Doppler perfusion indices

open access: yes, 2002
This study compares three techniques that evaluate hepatic haemodynamics for the detection of metastatic liver disease to determine the interrelationships between the techniques and to assess their equivalence. The three techniques studied were dedicated

Mechanoluminescent HOF Nanotransducers Enabled Sono‐Optogenetics in Parkinsonian Rats

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present a mechanoluminescent system utilizing porous hydrogen‐bonded organic frameworks (HOFs) as a toolkit for focused ultrasound‐triggered, non‐invasive light delivery to the deep brain in rats. This approach enables the specific activation of PV‐GPe neurons in dopamine‐depleted Parkinson's disease rat models, resulting in a comparable alleviation
