Recurrent Hypothermia and Autonomic Dysfunction Secondary to Shapiro Syndrome

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A 44‐year‐old man presented with recurrent hypothermia, diaphoresis and hypertension. Extensive investigation for infectious, inflammatory, metabolic and endocrine aetiologies was negative. MR scan of the brain demonstrated no lesions but revealed callosal dysgenesis, consistent with Shapiro syndrome.

The Feasibility of Assessing Perfusion of the Bone Using Quantitative ICG Fluorescence Imaging

open access: yesJournal of Reconstructive Microsurgery Open
Background  Near-infrared fluorescence (NIRF) imaging using indocyanine green (ICG) allows perfusion to be visualized and objective perfusion parameters can be provided after additional measurements.

Computed Tomography (CT) Perfusion in Abdominal Cancer: Technical Aspects

open access: yesDiagnostics, 2013
Computed Tomography (CT) Perfusion is an evolving method to visualize perfusion in organs and tissue. With the introduction of multidetector CT scanners, it is now possible to cover up to 16 cm in one rotation, and thereby making it possible to scan ...

Abnormal Myocardial Perfusion Imaging After Percutaneous

open access: yes, 2009
Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with stent implantation has been widely used in treating patients with coronary artery disease. Persistent post-PCI angina is a common symptom.

Intraoperative Imaging Techniques to Visualize Hepatic (Micro)Perfusion: An Overview [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
The microcirculation plays a crucial role in the distribution of perfusion to organs. Studies have shown that microcirculatory dysfunction is an independent predictor of morbidity and mortality.

Interaction of Intraprocedural Antiplatelets and Intravenous Thrombolysis in Acute Intracranial Stenting: RESISTANT Registry Subanalysis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction/Objective Acute intracranial stenting during endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) for ischemic stroke requires intraprocedural antiplatelet therapy (APT) to maintain patency. However, the hemorrhagic risk of combining APT with intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) remains uncertain.

The use of conventional and advanced magnetic resonance techniques in the assessment of primary brain tumours

open access: yes, 2008
The aim of the work described in this thesis was to investigate the value of conventional, perfusion- and diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in patients with histology-proven low-grade gliomas (LGG), and the potential role of these ...

Novel Approaches to Myocardial Perfusion: 3D First-Pass CMR Perfusion Imaging and Oxygenation-Sensitive

open access: yes, 2014
This article reviews technical aspects and the current status of novel cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) approaches to assessing myocardial perfusion, specifically oxygenation-sensitive magnetic resonance imaging, comparing their diagnostic targets

Artificial Intelligence in Systemic Sclerosis: Clinical Applications, Challenges, and Future Directions

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare autoimmune disease defined by immune dysregulation, vasculopathy, and progressive fibrosis of the skin and internal organs. Despite advances in care, major complications such as interstitial lung disease (ILD) and myocardial involvement remain the leading causes of morbidity and mortality.
