MORPHOLOGICAL FEATURES OF CONSTRICTIVE PERICARDITIS
The features of pericardial morphology in constrictive pericarditis are described, based on the surgery material, which was obtained from 27 patients aged 5-77 years during pericardectomy.

Constrictive pericarditis in a 19-month-old child
We report a case of chronic nonspecific constrictive pericarditis with myocardial involvement in a 19-month-old infant. The patient underwent total pericardiectomy and had irreversible hemodynamic instability.

Abstract Glycogen storage disease III (GSD‐III) is caused by an inherited deficiency of the glycogen debranching enzyme. Affecting the liver, muscle and heart, GSD‐IIIa is the most common GSD‐III subtype. We evaluated the feasibility and safety of a physical exercise intervention in patients with GSD‐IIIa and its effects at the multisystem level.

Constrictive Pericarditis: A Challenging Diagnosis in Paediatrics
Constrictive pericarditis is an uncommon disease in children, usually difficult to diagnose. We present the case of a 14-year-old boy with a previous history of tuberculosis and right heart failure, in whom constrictive pericarditis was diagnosed.

Plasticity of the heart in response to changes in physical activity
Abstract figure legend The heart adapts to changes in physical activity, with inactivity (e.g. bed rest or spaceflight) causing cardiac atrophy and ventricular stiffening, and endurance exercise training leading to eccentric hypertrophy and improved ventricular compliance.

ABSTRACT Background Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) in solid organ transplant recipients has been reported in adults. However, data on children are scarce. We report a case of an allogeneic HSCT in a 14‐year‐old girl to treat idiopathic very severe aplastic anemia (SAA). Case Presentation The girl developed end‐stage renal disease at the

Constrictive Pericarditis After a Stab Wound of the Chest
Constrictive pericarditis is an uncommon cause of diastolic heart failure resulting by impaired cardiac filling from an inelastic pericardium. We present a case of constrictive pericarditis in a 39-years-old man following thoracic penetrating trauma in ...

Inflammation in atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease: From diagnosis to treatment
Inflammation in atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. Residual inflammatory risk (RIR), defined by high‐sensitive C‐reactive protein (hsCRP) concentration of ≥2 mg/L, represents a strong predictor of future atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) events. Although increased hsCRP values ≥2 mg/L might be detected in every three out of five ASCVD

METTL3 Modulates Radiation‐Induced Cardiac Fibrosis via the Akt/mTOR Pathway
This study demonstrates that X‐ray radiation induces upregulation of METTL3 in mouse hearts, which is associated with reduced cardiac function and exacerbated cardiac fibrosis. X‐irradiation significantly elevates α‐SMA, Collagen I, and TGF‐β1 levels, with METTL3 knockdown mitigating this effect and attenuating X‐irradiation‐induced fibrosis.
