Cygnus X-2, super-Eddington mass transfer, and pulsar binaries
We consider the unusual evolutionary state of the secondary star in Cygnus X-2. Spectroscopic data give a low mass ($M_2 \simeq 0.5 - 0.7\msun$) and yet a large radius ($R_2 \simeq 7\rsun$) and high luminosity ($L_2 \simeq 150\lsun$).

Analytical and finite element calculations of road structures of different forms from corrugated metal according to the deformation criterion [PDF]
Introduction. Structures made of metal corrugated structures (MCS) – culverts, small and medium-sized bridges, overpasses – are quite common modern objects of transport and hydraulic construction in many countries of the world.

This paper deals with static BPS monopoles in three dimensions which are periodic either in one direction (monopole chains) or two directions (monopole sheets). The Nahm construction of the simplest monopole chain is implemented numerically, and the resulting family of solutions described.

Calculation of the load capacity of an arched road structure fromcorrugated metal by analytical method [PDF]
Introduction. One of the possible options for a simple, practical design of an arched road structure (small bridge) made of corrugated metal is considered, which can be considered as one that is more accurate and labor-intensive for the design of such a ...

ABSTRACT Background and Aims Wilms tumour (WT) has excellent event‐free and overall survival (OS). However, small differences exist between countries participating in the same international study. This led us to examine variation in adherence to protocol recommendations as a potential contributing factor.
