Period Doubling Cascades from Data
Orbit diagrams of period doubling cascades represent systems going from periodicity to chaos. Here, we investigate whether a Gaussian process regression can be used to approximate a system from data and recover asymptotic dynamics in the orbit diagrams ...

Emergence of quasiperiodicity in symmetrically coupled, identical period-doubling systems [PDF]
When two Identical period-doubling systems are coupled symmetrically, the period-doubling transition to chaos may be replaced by a quasiperiodic transition.

On the global structure of period doubling flows [PDF]
For a wide class of period doubling flows on \(R^ 3\) the global structure of the invariant manifolds and the topology of the bifurcating periodic orbits are analyzed. The global manifold structure implies constraints for the subsequent bifurcational behavior of the flows.

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Bifurcation routes to chaos in an extended van der Pol's equation applied to economic models
In this paper a 3-dimensional system of autonomous differential equations is studied. It can be interpreted as an idealized macroeconomic model with foreign capital investment introduced in [9] or an idealized model of the firm profit introduced in [3]

Hidden-like Attractors in a Class of Discontinuous Dynamical Systems
In continuous dynamical systems, a hidden attractor occurs when its basin of attraction does not connect with small neighborhoods of equilibria. This research aims to investigate the presence of hidden-like attractors in a class of discontinuous systems ...

Topological winding numbers for period-doubling cascades
We define the topological winding number for unimodal maps that share the essential properties of that of winding numbers for forced oscillators exhibiting period-doubling cascades.

Universality of period doubling in coupled maps [PDF]
We study the critical behavior of period doubling in two coupled one-dimensional maps with a single maximum of order $z$. In particurlar, the effect of the maximum-order $z$ on the critical behavior associated with coupling is investigated by a renormalization method. There exist three fixed maps of the period-doubling renormalization operator.

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

The current manuscript studies a discrete-time phytoplankton-zooplankton model with Holling type-II response. The original model is modified by considering the condition that the phytoplankton population is getting infected with an external toxic ...
