Solar sail dynamics in the three-body problem: homoclinic paths of points and orbits
In this paper we consider the orbital previous termdynamicsnext term of a previous termsolar sailnext term in the Earth-Sun circular restricted three-body problem. The equations of motion of the previous termsailnext term are given by a set of non-linear

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Displaced geostationary orbit design using hybrid sail propulsion [PDF]
Due to an increase in number of geostationary spacecraft and limits imposed by east-west spacing requirements, the geostationary orbit is becoming congested.

Data-Driven Stabilization of Periodic Orbits
Periodic orbits are among the simplest non-equilibrium solutions to dynamical systems, and they play a significant role in our modern understanding of the rich structures observed in many systems. For example, it is known that embedded within any chaotic

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Mission analysis and systems design of a near-term and far-term pole-sitter mission [PDF]
This paper provides a detailed mission analysis and systems design of a near-term and far-term polesitter mission. The pole-sitter concept was previously introduced as a solution to the poor temporal resolution of polar observations from highly inclined,

Bifurcation of Nongeneric Homoclinic Orbit Accompanied by Pitchfork Bifurcation
The bifurcation of a nongeneric homoclinic orbit (i.e., the orbit comes from the equilibrium along the unstable manifold instead of the center manifold) connecting a nonhyperbolic equilibrium is investigated, and the nonhyperbolic equilibrium undergoes ...

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...
