Periodic points and smooth rays [PDF]
Let P : C → C P: \mathbb {C} \to \mathbb {C} be a polynomial map with disconnected filled Julia set K P K_P and let z 0 z_0 be a repelling or parabolic periodic point of P P .

Stirling numbers and periodic points [PDF]
We introduce the notion of almost realizability, an arithmetic generalization of realizability for integer sequences, which is the property of counting periodic points for some map. We characterize the intersection between the set of Stirling sequences (of both the first and the second kind) and the set of almost realizable sequences.

Morphic Heights and Periodic Points [PDF]
An approach to the calculation of local canonical morphic heights is described, motivated by the analogy between the classical height in Diophantine geometry and entropy in algebraic dynamics. We consider cases where the local morphic height is expressed as an integral average of the logarithmic distance to the closure of the periodic points of the ...

The Periodic Points of Renormalization [PDF]
It will be shown that the renormalization operator, acting on the space of smooth unimodal maps with critical exponent greater than 1, has periodic points of any combinatorial type.

Periodic nanostructures induced by point defects in Pb1-xSnxTe
Lead tin telluride solid solutions are excellent candidates for the p-type conduction legs of the thermoelectric generator modules. The investigation of their microstructure properties is an important issue, that can effectively modify their electronic ...

On limit sets of simplest skew products defined on multidimensional cells [PDF]
The purpose of this work is to describe two important types of limit sets of the most simple skew products of interval maps, the phase space of each of which is a compact n-dimensional cell (n ≥ 2): firstly, a non-wandering set and, secondly, &omega ...

On Dynamics of Certain Economic Models
The article deals with the dynamics of two economic models. The first one is a macroeconomic model about national income and its stability. In the second model the price of a certain commodity is treated.

Periodic Solutions Bifurcating From a Curve of Singularity of the Jerk System
We investigate a periodic solution which bifurcates from a curve of the singularity of the jerk system in .More precisely, we give the explicit states for the existence of a periodic solution of the jerk system with a nonisolated singular point, where ...

Piecewise expanding maps: combinatorics, dynamics and representation of rational numbers
We establish combinatorial properties of the dynamics of piecewise increasing, continuous, expanding maps of the interval such as description of periodic and pre-periodic points, primitiveness of truncated itineraries and length of ...
