On ω-Limit Sets of Zadeh’s Extension of Nonautonomous Discrete Systems on an Interval
Let I = [ 0 , 1 ] and f n be a sequence of continuous self-maps on I which converge uniformly to a self-map f on I. Denote by F ( I ) the set of fuzzy numbers on I, and denote by ( F ( I ) , f ^ ) and ( F ( I ) ,

A HASSE PRINCIPLE FOR PERIODIC POINTS [PDF]
Let F be a global field, let φ ∈ F(x) be a rational map of degree at least 2, and let α ∈ F. We say that α is periodic if φn(α) = α for some n ≥ 1. A Hasse principle is the idea, or hope, that a phenomenon which happens everywhere locally should happen globally as well. The principle is well known to be true in some situations and false in others.

Periodic points on the $2$-sphere
For a $C^{1}$ degree two latitude preserving endomorphism $f$ of the 2-sphere, we show that $f$ has $2^{n}$ periodic points.

Periodic points of a Landen transformation [PDF]
We prove the existence of 3-periodic orbits in a dynamical system associated to a Landen transformation previously studied by Boros, Chamberland and Moll, disproving a conjecture on the dynamics of this planar map introduced by the latter author. To this end we present a systematic methodology to determine and locate analytically isolated periodic ...

Periodic solutions to a class of distributed delay differential equations via variational methods
In this article, we study the existence of periodic solutions to a class of distributed delay differential equations. We transform the search for periodic solutions with the special symmetry of a delay differential equation to the problem of finding ...

Fixed points of periodic maps [PDF]
Let f be a periodic differentiable map from a sphere to itself. A well-known conjecture of Smith asserts that in many cases (e.g., when the fixed points are isolated) the derivatives of f at its fixed points, regarded as Jacobian matrices, are linearly ...

2 n-periodic Sequences with Second Descent Point of k-error Linear Complexity [PDF]
The k-error linear complexity is used as an important stability index of pseudorandom sequences, and the critical error linear complexity distribution characterize the descent point of k-error linear complexity. This paper studies the 2 n-periodic binary ...

Some periodic and fixed point theorems on quasi-b-gauge spaces
The notions of a quasi-b-gauge space ( U , Q s ; Ω ) $(U,\textsl{Q}_{s ; \Omega })$ and a left (right) J s ; Ω $\mathcal{J}_{s ; \Omega }$ -family of generalized quasi-pseudo-b-distances generated by ( U , Q s ; Ω ) $(U,\textsl{Q}_{s ; \Omega })$ are ...
