Decimation of Periodic Sequences

Let v be a linear recursive sequence over a finite field, and let $v^d $, the decimation of vbyd, be the sequence obtained by taking every dth member of v. In this note, we study decimations and show how to obtain the recursion for $v^d $ in terms of the recursion for v.

ESTIMATION OF THE PERIOD OF PERIODICALLY CORRELATED SEQUENCES

Abstract.In this paper we consider the problem of estimating the periodTof periodically correlated sequences. A method is developed which uses the periodogram of the average magnitude difference function (AMDF). It will be shown that this method alleviates problems associated with other methods.
